Manual nest removal was required on all trees Sites identified at Instar L4 to L6 stage, by Forestry Commission (FC) and London Borough of Ealing Post emergence nest removal was still needed for health reasons. Infestation found on Turkey Oak (Quercus cerris). OPM usually on English Oak. This large plague stage nest found near to rail line on private land measured approximately 1m x 30cm (3ft x 1ft ). Six FC traps installed for FC research. FC monitored contents. |
